I really believe that a major part in the fight against breast cancer is getting the word out. Most young women believe they are indestructible, after all, they’re young, they’re healthy, and they have their whole lives ahead of them to achieve their goals.

Thankfully, with all of the research and advances in medicine and science (thanks a lot to foundations like Komen), breast cancer is more than treatable – it’s beatable. The key is to get awareness and support levels up. So to do my part, I’m using my passion (jewelry making) to raise money, not just to give to the Foundation directly, but to give to teams of young women who wish to run in the races.  I want other girls my age to realize how important early detection is, and getting them interested in the foundation and its races will do that.

My Breast Cancer Awareness Bracelets are available to anyone and everyone who wants to support this cause (and get some pretty cool jewelry while doing so).
